Scholar360 is a new LMS/CMS/NLE - Network Learning Environment. I have not reviewed Scholar360 as I can only request a personal tour. Seems to include blogging and eportfolio features. Competition is the LMS space is a good thing, so I am glad to see new products on offer.

hmmm, the image of students seated in a lecture type situation doesn’t create a good impression…D

I’d be delighted to offer you a free trial of Scholar360 so that you can “play around.”

We’re actually not that new…we’ve been around for over three years. We were the first LMS to incorporate social networking with traditional academic features. We incorporated things like wikis, blogs, ePortfolios, personal pages, file sharing, chat, etc. from the beginning, rather than as an after-thought, as many are doing now.

Feel free to contact us at 866-458-0360.

P.S.: There are traditional learning photos on the site to show that we can be used to augment residential courses in addition to non-traditional learning methods.

Incorporating social networking with CMS is a great idea. I’ve been using Classcentral.com which is now RCampus.com for more than 5 years. It helps me facilitate collaboration and sharing knowledge among my students.
