A couple of years ago I encountered software to assist with "Critical Thinking" and "Analysis" called Reason!Able. I am glad to report that this Australian software product has come along in leaps and bounds; and is now called Rationale. Worth a look if your are trying to embed critical thinking, analysis and knowledge construction activities within a course.

The Newsletter for Rationale is called Ratatouille. I guess "Anyone can Analyse". If you don’t get this terrible joke you need to go see Ratatouille the movie about the rat that is an amazing chef.

I guess I should mention that Rationale is .NET based and I think it uses WPF. This is second Australian made concept mapping/mind mapping product I have encountered this year - NovaMind being the first with a version in WPF. Makes me more excited to learn WPF!

Thanks for the post here. I haven’t heard of Rationale yet, but I absolutely love NovaMind it is a great program. I have been using these types of concept mapping programs for several years now and don’t know what I would do without them, they become a vital part of my business plans.
