I’ve been trying to use XSL-FO from various .NET components to render PDF without much success. Solutions seem either too pricey, are Java ports (iText and FOP) that have not been active since 2003 or don’t seem to be compliant with the XSL-FO spec.
I’d really like an affordable and user friendly tool that would allow a designer to create a template/stylesheet. I don’t really want to constrain the creativity of the designer! …And I don’t want to spend hours fidgeting with layout each time the design changes.
I am almost thinking that I need to render Word documents and then use a PDF print driver to get the quality that I am after.
Hello,
I am working for a company which has a product “DynamicPDF ReportWriter for .NET” to generate PDF documents dynamically using .NET and layout templates using the Designer. Our library is made using 100% managed code.
Our products will allow you to create PDF documents programmatically from scratch, merge existing PDF documents, add contents to existing PDF files, stamping PDFs, appending existing PDF documents, form filling, rotating and scaling PDFs, etc.
We do not currently have support for XSL-FO. Our products focus on high performance applications and have much better performance than using XSL-FO to create the PDF.
Our company name is ceTe Software and you can go through our website at http://www.cete.com.
Thanks,
Vishal
