“Why Time Sheets are Lame …?” manages to express my sentiments on timesheets and time tracking quite well. I tend to think we track what we take the time to understand.
To be sung to “When I Grow Up” by Pussycat Dolls
When I grow up
I wanna have ajax
I wanna be the only star
I wanna be in rss
When I grow up
I wanna have blogs
Drive nice stylesheets
I wanna have Group Tools
When I grow up
Be on Facebook
Google knows me
Be on Yahoo
When I grow up
Drag and drop
Number one LMS when I upgrade onto the 64 servers
But be careful what you wish for
‘Cause you just might get it
Five years too late
Five years too late
I see you starring at me, LMS, I’m a trend setter, yes this is true
cause when I embed Moodle, no one can do it better
You can talk about me cause I’m a hot forum topic
I see you upgrading me upgrading me
and I know you want it
It is never too late to start from scratch. It is never too late to grab market share. This should be a lesson to all - go rebuild the impossible. Google proves this with Chrome - a new webkit based browser that treats Javascript with the respect that it deserves. The “One box for everything” concept, where you can search and type urls into the same input box, leaves me wondering why this was not done a long time ago. Chrome comes with a “Stats for nerds” link, the title alone just makes it my fav browser. So far, Chrome is awesome for a 0.2 release. Can’t wait for more.
The idea of using a comic/illustration to help convey the benefits of Chrome is a useful technique - a good alternative to a storyboard/screen mockup.
“Just Dance” by Lady Gaga has hit no 1, on Aus iTunes. Just Awesome news - I predicted this, but was kinda worried when “So What” by Pink came out of nowhere to claim no 1 last week.
The new jQuery site design with the rock star slogan caused uproar and now its gone. If you missed the fuss, Ajaxian has a screengrab. I don’t get the fuss! I don’t get why the rock star banner was removed! My only comment is that I am not a Rock Star Javascript programmer, yeah really, I am a Popstar programmer. …and Popstars while controversial don’t compromise their art. The designer should just have quoted Pink:
So so what?
I’m still a rock star
I got my rock moves
And i don’t need you
And guess what
I’m having more fun
Quite cool to find, a book written by me (Pinnacle Studio 9 Ignite!), scanned and put online by Google Book Search….
Other books I’ve written are also available in limited preview from Google Book Search…
Aparently the real 7 year old singer was not cute enough. What is the world coming to? These are 7 year old kids - both look cute!!!!
Can you guess the singer from this vid circa 2006, without doing an internet search?
Del.icio.us has had a yummy interface redesign. I don’t visit the del.icio.us site, mostly just use the Firefox plugin, but I certainly think they came up with an awesome new design.
